When you like to get more autonomy in your organization, the salary can be a subject that you can think about. This practice is a radical way to make the first steps.
You can also choose some less radical steps.
It’s very easy. This is all about leading by example. Just put up a whiteboard on a location where everybody can see it.
Write down your name and your salary. Be as open as you can be, do you get a bonus? Add it to the board as well.
Now give other people the opportunity to write down their own salary as well. Do not make it mandatory, but just let it happen. This can be a radical way to open up the salaries of all employees.
