An unlimited amount of vacation days, let your employees decide how much they need. This may be the ultimate way of giving employees autonomy. But there are some strings attached. A couple of questions I've heard around this subject: How does it work with the remaining number of days when someone leaves the company? How do you manage the legal minimum amount of days? What culture does fit best? There are answers to every question, but you have to prototype yourself.
Prototype by selecting a limited amount of employees. And make sure they know they are part of the prototype. Learn with them what questions you need to answer.

From a HR point of view you also have to train the leaders and management to be aware and pick up signals when someone is in need of a holiday. Because unlimited holidays can have a side effect that people aren’t taking any or fewer holidays then they need to charge their batteries
