Working 5 days or 36-40 hours a week is the standard for as long as we know it. But does that still make sense? All over the world companies and countries are experimenting with a new standard. For example a 6 hours per working day. And if it’s practiced all over the world, why not giving it a try within your company.
For the sake of this one-month experiment, don’t make to big changes at once. You can start the experiment with one team/department. But make sure that the timeframe is very clear, start with a minimum of 1 month. So that you have enough time to learn from the results.
For this experiment, don’t change anything in the compensation and benefits. So keep the salary the same. You can have a look at that later on. Focus on the scope of the experiment. But make sure to measure the results afterwards.
