We have one too at Schuberg Philis. We ask the lender to make a picture of the book in a dedicated slack channel or use an ISBN app. We have a librarian (guess who 😉 to buy books regularly and we frequently ask to donate a book that every colleague should read.
We got one too, it is easy and great the only problem is that not everyone reads so I scored lower in results.
The solution is a book club: one chapter a week and we discuss one lunchtime a week.
We started ours so I do not have the results yet!
I have created a similar proposal using a Trello board. The purpose of the library is to contribute to the professional development of the coworkers to increase the impact within and outside the company.
Different functionalities are available inside the project:
– Peer to peer physical borrowing system.
– Sharing digital resources (books, webinars, podcasts).
– Creation of a book wishlist that we invite the company to buy for their employees.
– Offering your trainnings or asking for trainings that other co-workers can offer.
– Recommendations (by joining the trello card that represents the document)
– Comments and reviews on each document
