If you would change seats with the CEO of your company, what would you change right now? That’s a pretty clear question, and very powerfull. It gives you the right framing to find opportunities to improve in your company, even if you are not actually the CEO (yet).
We’ve been using this workshop in the Follow the Tension stage of the Prototyping Work methodology, and it works awesome. A lot of potential tensions to work on.
What steps to take for the practice
This workshop is meant to give you the feeling of power and control over the company you are working. And it only has a couple of steps:
Gather your team and the tools
It would help to give your team some guidance on what topics to think about. The best is to do that by using terms that are known in your company. Alternatively, you can use The OS Canvas or Corporate Rebel’s 8 trends
Let everyone brainstorm individually for at least 5-10 minutes. Let them put every single idea on a separate post-it, and put it on the canvas you are using.
Break out into smaller groups and discuss what has been written;
Vote for the topics that are most important to change right now;
Discuss the chosen topics plenary and go to the next step to brainstorm and design Prototypes. To actually accomplish a change mindset;
