Time Management is a never-ending challenge. Especially with work and private life being more blended than ever and we have access to unlimited information. Also, there are a lot of distractions with the constant stream of information and interactions that keep you from achieving your goals.
That’s why a lot of people use to-do lists to help them organize their working and even their private life. There is a lot of research about writing down things to do, to help you achieve your goals. However, you probably already know that not all items on the to-do list get done. Also, a to-do list gives you the option to choose the easy tasks first. A staggering 41% of the items on a to-do list are never completed according to The Busy Person's Guide to the Done List.
What steps to take for the practice

Plan all tasks in your calendar. Highly successful people like Richard Branson and Michelle Obama use their calendars extremely efficient.
Eat the frog: this means do the most important and difficult task first!
Plan meetings and calls in the afternoon.
Block time in the late afternoon to reflect on:
- Were you able to complete the tasks in your calendar?
- What was successful and what could be improved?
- Are you one step closer to reach your own big goals?
Schedule preparation time to be prepared for tomorrow.
Make room for personal time, f.e. going to the gym or reading a book.
